Screened on BBC2 between November 1982 and June 1984, The Young Ones anarchic, offbeat humour made it y very popular with a wide audience and sprung its cast to stardom with household name status.

We salute Adrian Edmondson, Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer, Christopher Ryan and Alexei Sayle for their evergreen performances which continue to raise laughs today with a new generation of  The Young Ones fans.
