Ten 80s Tracks with a Country conection:

1) Big In Japan – Alphaville (No8 1984) – A true 80s classic, it’s easy when you’re big in Japan (allegedly)

2) A New England – Kirsty MacColl (No7 1985) – A sad loss to the Music World, enough said.

3) Born in the U.S.A. – Bruce Springsteen (No5 1985) – Even if you’re not American, you are for 3 minutes during this belter.

4) Kids in America – Kim Wilde (No2 1981) – An absolute 80s Anthem, deserved the number 1 slot.

5) The Lebanon – Human League (No11 1984) – One of their lesser known hits, quality never the less.

6) Nights over Egypt – The Jones Girls (Not released in The UK as a single) – Played at all 80s Discos.

7) Africa – TOTO  (No3 1983) – OK it’s a Continent, but it’s in.

8) China In Your Hand (No1 1987) – Big 80s Hair and a Big Hit too.

9) French Kissin’ In The U.S.A. (No8 1986) – A classic from the Queen of The 80s

10) In a Big Country – Big Country (No17 1983) – Very under rated Band that released some cracking work.
