Long Distance Relationship

For the sixth in our forgotten Gem series, we remember Clouds Across The Moon by The Rah Band.

The RAH Band was formed, in 1977, by Richard Anthony Hewson. Being the only member, he named the band by using his initials. Hewson started out as an arranger and worked with the likes of The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Supertramp and Chris Rea. In the 1980′s Hewson produced for Shakin’ Stevens, Five Star and Toyah Wilcox.

The song itself reached No6 in The U.K. in 1985 with Hewson playing all the musical instruments himself and his then wife, Liz, on vocals. Due to popular demand a more “Jazz Funk” version was released as “Clouds Across The Moon 07″ in July 2007.

Extra Marks if you can remember the flight number mentioned in the song.

If you haven’t played this track for a while it’s worth giving it a spin for old times sake.
