Happy Birthday Curt Smith, Funny How Time Flies.

Born on 24th June 1961 in Bath, Somerset, Curt Smith lived on the on The Snow Hill Council Estate and as a child attended Beechen Cliff School. After the split of Graduate in 1981,  Smith formed Tears for Fears with his school friend Roland Orzabal. Their first two single releases were unsuccessful but Mad World reached number 3 in The UK Charts in 1982.

1983 saw the release of the singles Change and a re-issue of  Pale Shelter, both made the top 5 in The U.K.

Success came on both sides of The Pond in 1985, the album Songs from The Big Chair (number 2 in The U.K.) the singles Shout (number 4 in The U.K.) and Everybody Wants To Rule The World (number 2 in The U.K.) all made Number One in The U.S.

After a four year break the 1989 single release, Sowing The Seeds of Love , reached number 5 in The U.K.

Smith is a long time Manchester United Fan and took U.S. Citizenship in 2007. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
