80slegends are sad to pass on the sad news the Poly Styrene has passed away at the age of 53.

X-Ray Spex split in the late 70's however Poly Styrene (real name Marianne Elliot) went on to release her first solo album, Translucence, in 1980. She released her third only last Month.
