Some of you  may remember this place if you lived the same area as me. Back in the 80's everyone was fascinated by a Dode Church, in Luddesdown, Kent, because it was supposedly haunted, the village that it is in, had apparently  been wiped out by the Black Death.  Every halloween a big group of us would go out there, to see what the big fuss was about, admittedly it was quite scarey, as it was a little church, which stood by itself and was in need of some repair, and in the dark was really spooky.

It has since been repaired and now people actually hold wedding ceremonies there.

The other place we used to go to, to get scared was the Mausoleum near cobham.

I think our fixation of being scared, must have something to do with all the horror movies that we'd watched.

I think that most teenagers have had a fixation with ghosts at some time….the bravado of going into an alleged haunted building is part of growing up.

A recent experience at Chatham Dockyard has changed my opinion on such matters
