Who used to really look forward to Thursday evenings, 7.30pm, straight after Tomorrows World, when Top of the Pops would fill the room for the next half an hour. That was the highlight of my week. It was the topic of the classroom the next morning.

Indeed TOTP was one of the best things on T.V. in an age when being number 1 actually meant something….

Listening to the Chart Show on Radio 1 on a Sunday Night was also a must to see what the new Number 1 was… I couldn't even tell you what the Number was now (and who cares!!!!)

or Listening on a Tuesday Lunchtime during the summer hols. Also the Radio 1 roadshow, with Bits and Pieces. I totally agree, i havnt a clue what is no.1 now either, and at least back then you could understand the words of what was being sung, where as nowadays its all rap, and hip hop.
