The Wild Boys do it again.

Simon Le Bon proved to the city of Manchester that he had got his beautiful voice back, opening the gig with Before The Rain, straight away the crowd were mesmorised  by the greatest song from Duran Duran’s new album “All You Need Is Now”.

In trademark Duran fashion, they quickly treated the crowd to some of their earlier songs. “A View To A Kill” and “Careless Memories” never get old really. Nick Rhodes also contributed to the evening with a cheeky little speech before “Blame The Machines” made the entire arena scream. The mood soon changed when “Come Undone” and “Ordinary World” were played, the emotion in Le Bon’s was obvious for all to hear.

The best part for me personally was when “Notorious” popped up, the crowd began to shout “play the f******g bass John”. Also I was impressed by Anna Ross’ backing vocals and Simon Willescroft’s impressive saxophone playing in “Tiger Tiger”. During “The Reflex” a member of the audience was invited onto the stage to sing the familiar opening to the song. Another familiar crowd pleaser came in the form of “Is There Something I Should Know”.

Then the gig came to an amazing end with a mix of “Wildboys” and a brilliant cover of Frankie goes to Hollywood’s classic “Relax”. Of course the final song of the night was “Rio” which made the night the best night ive ever had. Heres hoping Duran Duran are as good on their next UK tour as they were on this one
