An 80s look at London 2012,
Here are our Top Ten Olympic themed 80s Hits:
1. Gold – Spandau Ballet (1983) – An obvious choice but this is what everyone wants.
2. The Race – Yello (1988) – There will be plenty of races at The Olympics so this is another obvious choice.
3. Torch – Soft Cell (1982) – One of these will be making its way round the Country very soon.
4. The Winner Takes it All – ABBA (1980) – They certainly will, fame fortne and sponsorship from some big Corporate names.
5. Born To Run – Bruce Springsteen (1987) – You would have to be to keep up with these guys and gals.
6. Running Up That Hill – Kate Bush (1985) – A few years of your life doing this would be how you would have trained for The Olympics.
7. Jump – Van Halen (1984) – Another way to win Olympic Gold
8. Run To The Hills – Iron Maiden (1982) – All cheats should do this and never come back!!
9. Aint Nothing’ Goin’ on but The Rent – Gwen Guthrie (1986) – After paying for your Olympic tickets, just about right.
10. Shout – Tears for Fears (1984) – This is what passengers will be doing while trying to get to the events as the transport system grinds to a halt.
