Duran Duran – Adelaide Concert – 20th March 2012

The Adelaide gig for me was one of bitter sweet.  I hadn’t had much sleep the night before because I’d attended the Melbourne concert (in my hometown) the previous night. Then at 5.30am my husband woke me up and was doubled over in server pain and had to be taken to hospital. I couldn’t believe my luck, today was the day I was meant to be flying out to Adelaide! Hubby was discharged from hospital two hrs before my flight was scheduled to take off. I was in two minds of going, but my hubby assured me he’d be fine and to go and enjoy the concert. I’m fortunate to have an understanding partner who gets my passion for Duran Duran. I was also travelling with two dear friends and they were also dealing with family matters of their own back home. It started off being a very somber situation but once we got to the venue and the concert began all our troubles seemed to be put on hold and we had a wonderful night.

The Adelaide concert seemed a lot smaller than the Brisbane and Melbourne venues but it gave the experience a more intimate one. The crowd went off and the band members looked like they were enjoying themselves too.
