Liking your list here, i”d forgotten some of these classics. Also there was a lot of really good George Benson and Alexander O”Neal songs around back then, slowies and danceable ones
I remember Alex for Fake more than anything else………brill dance track
Ah, Lisa, Georgie B.. yes you’re right, he made some great slowies! I saw him at the Royal Albert Hall in the mid 90s and he was amazing, a truly gifted musician! Loved ‘Turn Out The Lamplight’ fromt he Love X Love album but not a major hit but there was ‘In Your Eyes’ from the next and same titular album. Then from 20/20 ‘I Just Want To Hang Around You’ and ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change’ and the eternal ‘You Are The Love of My Life’ with Roberta Flack, one of my all time favourite songstresses! Then from ‘Twice The Love’ there was ‘Until You Believe’. What a back catalogue to have to your name!
Hi, i can remember buying George Bensons “In your eyes” album for a boyfriend, also my older brother and his wife were very much into George Benson and went to see him a few times.
