It seemed that the 80's were over run with puppets as well.
Although Jim Henson's muppets started in the 70s, they went on into the 80s, and are still around today. Normally on every saturday tea time, there would be different sketches with Kermit the frog, Miss piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and many more.
But there were also other well known puppets during the 80's too, Orville the green duck, that wore an nappy, and had a really annoying squeaky voice, that was done by ventriloquist Keith Harris, it also went on to have a song in the charts "I wish i could fly"
There was Emu and Rod Hull, who can forget the famous episode on Parkinson.
Nookie Bear and Roger De Courcey, the bear always rolled his eyes and was quite cute.
Roland Rat, did radio shows and television, as well as have a hit single with "Rat Rapping
Philip Schofield with Gordon the Gofa on childrens tv
Spit the Dog, was on surprise Surprise with Bob Carolgees.
Must'nt forget the brilliant Spitting Image either.
Have i forgotten any, i'm sure i have.
