I thought it was high time i did a top 10 list for my favourite Duran Duran songs. Yes i know i love everything that Duran Duran has done, but some songs i love more than others.

1. Planet Earth – 1981 – I can still remember the very first time i heard this and where i was, and it was their very first single.

2. Rio – 1982 – I loved this the first time i heard it, allways reminds me of summer and sunkissed beaches

3. Hold Back The Rain – 1982 – from the Rio album, i really think this should have been released as a single.

4. The Chauffeur – 1982 – also from the Rio album, i alwalys get goosebumps when listening to this track

5. Friends of Mine – 1981 – from their dubet album Duran Duran, the lyrics are fantastic and the chorus is just so catchy.

6. Notorious – 1986 -  i think this has got to be their most danceable track, always gets me up on the dancefloor

7. New Moon on Monday – 1983 – Simons voice always reminds me of David Bowie right at the beginning of this song.

8. Sound of Thunder – 1981 – another from their debut album, fantastic lyrics again.

9. View To a Kill – 1985 – Purely because it is the best Bond Theme ever.

10. Girls on Film – 1981 – makes me think of all Duran Duran concerts that i've been to, as this is always the very last song they play, and simon always introduces members of the band during it.

it's an impossible task.

DD have put out so much first rate material, shrinking it down to a list of 10 would be impossible for me.
