Worst:
Tears for Fears at Brighton Centre in the 80s and when they were at the top. The set was just over the hour and they played their hits note for note and skedeaddled as soon as they could… just terrible!
Best:
Has to be Eurythmics and Annie in her leather phase, again at the Brighton Centre. Got in a bit earlier from the bar and within 15 feet of the stage. She came on in Black leather coat a la Matrix. Started off acapello with Dave Stewart on acoustic guitar, as I recall, and nearly every song started differently from the album which left you guessing until a few moments in. Then after a few numbers, off came the coat and there she stood resplendant in leather bra for the rest of the gig with that 'don't mess with me' pose of hers. What a lassie! Saw them in 1999 during their Peace tour and they still had it as a duo. Pound-for-pound they've been the most consistent band i've seen down the years!

The Best, Level 42 at Hammersmith Odeon 1988.
The worst for me was David Bowie at The London Arena, No charisma, no nothing to be honest…shame

I wasnt allowed to go to concerts back in the 80s. But have since seen Duran Duran 5 times, and they are absolutely brilliant, and was lucky enough to meet 4 out of the 5 of the original members at the Lycium in London in 2007. Also See Spandau Ballet Last year at the O2, and they were fantastic, Tony Hadley has got such a strong voice.
I would say the worst act i have seen is Elvis costello, at Shepherds Bush Empire, cos i fell asleep.
