Desert Island 80′s. The Hog’s Choice
A difficult choice but here are the Ten 80s Songs that 80sHog would take on a Desert Island (together with a turntable of course)
1. Thriller – Michael Jackson At least there would be plenty of time to learn the Zombie Dance
2. Blue Monday – New Order. Never get bored listening to this classic.
3. Ace of Spades – Motorhead. A bit of head banging and Air Guitar never hurt anyone…
4. The Cutter – Echo and The Bunnymen One of the best intro of the 80s
5. Vienna – Ultravox Say no more, one of the best singles of the 80′s
6. Do They Know it’s Christmas – Band Aid. A reality check when it’s 40 degrees in the shade in December..
7. Tainted Love – Soft Cell Know all the words, sing it loud
8. Livin’ on a Prayer – Bon Jovi Well, you would be..
9. Hands To Heaven – Breathe For those lonely moments
10. House of Fun – Madness. Always puts a smile on my face

OMG. I found this to be quite a tough one, especially as you have got some of the ones that i would have chosen in the first place. So i”ve pinched a couple back. Lol
Here goes.
1. Rio – Duran Duran, simply because it seems appropriate for white beaches and blue seas.
2. Thriller – Michael Jackson, its my all time favourite dance track
3. Red Red Wine – UB40, except it will probably be the rum that goes to my head.
4. Spirit in the sky – Dr and the Medics, it reminds me of xmas and new year parties.
5. Save a prayer – Duran Duran, just because.
6 . The Tide is High – Blondie. i”d probably be sat in a palm tree
7. Tainted Love – Soft Cell, yes cos i know all the words too
8. Here I go again – Whitesnake, one that i could sing along to at the top of my voice
9 Isla Bonita – Madonna, make me feel as if im really on holiday
10. Frankie – Sister Sledge, feel good song
Goodness theres loads more that i could have picked, but i dont think any of these ones would drive me too insane.
All Good, except for Frankie…in my bottom 5 of 80s Number Ones….
To be honest I’d probably be best just taking the “RIO” album instead. Lol
There’s a shock!
Gotta say that while there are some good choices there there are also a few real clunkers… Band Aid??? Come one I’d nearly rather have Joe Dolce!!
Anywho now that I’m done dissing the Hog…
1) Beat It – Jacko (or more precisly Eddie Van Halen’s guiter solo!)
2) Tainted Love – Soft Cell
3) Are Friends Electric – Tubeway Army (ok I know not really chronologically 80s but musically has to be there!)
4) Video Killed The Radio Star – Buggles (no arguements on this one as it was the 1st video played on MTV in 1981)
5) Vienna – Ultravox
6) New Religion – New Order
7) Heaven and Hell – Black Sabbath
8) Crazy Train – Blizzard of Ozz
9) Weiss Heim – Rainbow
10) Spirit of Radio – Rush
ask me again next week and half of these will have probably been changed
