A touch of Vienna in Sydney

I had the privilege of seeing Midge Ure in concert last night at The Factory Theater in Sydney. Wow, what a show.  Midge is the ultimate performer.  I had waited 30 years to see him perform and I was not disappointed.   It was the best concert I’ve ever been to.

It was obvious he was having a great time up there joking and chatting with the audience who lapped it all up.  I was totally blown away by his incredible voice, energy and performance.  The set list was fantastic, something for everyone, from Ultravox greats like Hymn, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, Loves Great Adventure and of course Vienna, to Midge’s hits If I Was and Breathe.  There was also the fantastic Fade to Grey and Ultravoxs’ newest song Brilliant from their new cd, just to name a few.

The crowd loved him, there were many die hard fans in the audience and all of us hoping that the positive response Midge has received on this tour will be enough to bring Ultravox back to Australia for a tour in the future.
