Late last year we asked for your votes to find the Best Albums of the 1980′s. We had to narrow it down to 17 finalists and we are now proud to release the results of the final round of voting. Here are the Top 5 (in reverse order of course)
5. Kings of The Wild Frontier – Adam and The Ants (1980)
First entered The U.K. Album Chart on 15th November 1980 and spent 12 weeks at Number 1. a Total of 66 weeks in the chart
4. The Joshua Tree – U2 (1987)
First entered The U.K. Album Chart on 21st March 1987 and spent 2 weeks at Number 1, a total of 163 weeks in the chart
3. The Queen is Dead – Smiths (1986)
First entered The U.K. Album Chart 28th June 1986 peaking at Number 2 and spending 22 weeks in the chart.
2. Thriller – Michael Jackson (1982)
First entered the U.K. Album Chart on 11th December 1982, spent 8 weeks at Number 1 and a total of 201 weeks on the chart.
1. Rio – Duran Duran (1982)
First entered The U.K. Album Chart on 22nd May 1982 and reached Number 2 spending 109 weeks in the chart
