Did you deliberately fail to mention that he started out in Depeche Mode, and penned the unforgetable "I Just Cant Get Enough", before he went on to form Yazoo with Alison Moyet, and have 2 brilliant albums "Upstairs at Erics" and "You and Me Both". Then after that he formed Erasure with Andy Bell, and had numorous hits singles and albums.

Hi i used to love Yazoo - Alison Moyet and Vince 'Clarke. Ode' to a boy was from 'You and Me Both' album, i also had 'Upstairs at Erics'. They were brilliant and were a big part of the 80s for me. Sorry to say i've never seen them in concert. '

I have some classic photos from back then. Yes i had the frilly shirt and knickerbockers, and candy stripped trousers too, whcih came from down Chicargo's in the High Street. I actually wore a bright orange suit with a bright yellow shirt, and matching shoes and a matching strawhat and bag, to my cousins wedding in 1986. My mum has them photos thank goodness.

Well Hi all,

Great to be here and share ......well I got the listen to the amazingly talented voice of Alison Moyet a few months back in her sort of home town of Southend (she a Basildon girl of course along with ????? Oh but that's insulting your intelligence - right ? If you really don't know - who did Alison bugy up with in Yazoo ????) That's your clue.

Well I have to say 1) she looked fab - really lost some weight - a tight figure hugging long black dress, but 2) and way more and better......that magical sultry voice....WOW...seems to tame a sentiment. She belted her hits out not with the backing of a synth but a grand piano and apologised for that fact. Invisible and Don't Go were just a few - the latter she said she never thought she'd sing again! What was also REALLY great was that she buggered around with the paylist. Some one shouted out for her sing Ode to Boy - is it? (from Upstairs at Erics) - she paused spoke to her band and announced...."ok playlist changed" - so easy for her. She started one song I'd not heard of before then after only a few socs stopped saying that she wasn't "feeling it yet". We were all in for a treat. Alison Moyet is a truly amazing recording artist with a voice unlike anyone else. When you hear it you know it's her. Roll on the next time she's in town.... and I thoroughly recommend go seeing her ...well HEARING her.

Anyone else seen her out there ?...recently?
